WELCOME

Welcome to the Michigan District of Kiwanis, the birthplace of the Kiwanis Family.
If Community Service with emphasis on our youth and their future development as healthy, caring, contributing citizens is important to you.....then one of our 184 clubs throughout the state of Michigan can be your source of fellowship, fun, and commitment to local needs.

Message from the District Governor

JOAN VANARSDALEN

As Governor of the great Michigan District of Kiwanis, I cordially invite you to become involved in projects that make service to your community viable to all and that of course includes the children. You can play a big  part in what happens in and around the state by joining a local Kiwanis club and experience the satisfaction and fellowship so many of our current club members feel. And believe me, you will have fun in the process, which includes a giving of oneself in the pursuit of helping others less fortunate while making this a better place to live. Contact a local club or our District office in Mason for information and contacts for meetings in your local community. Join with us to address the needs of the children and the communities in which we reside.

Joan VanArsdalen

Governor of the Michigan District, 2009-10

The Eliminate Project

The Kiwanis global campaign for children, The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus, aims to save the lives of a 129 million mothers and newborns. In partnership with UNICEF, Kiwanis is eliminating a disease that kills one baby every nine minutes. Kiwanis and UNICEF are targeting the poorest, most underserved women and children on Earth, and paving the way for other interventions that will boost maternal health and child survival. Hand-in-hand, Kiwanis and UNICEF are changing the world. Visit www.TheEliminateProject.org to learn more.
